Survivor 1966 ford f-100 camper special and 1966 riviera 10’ slide in camper. The odometer is showing just over 20,000 actual miles! The landing gear/camper jacks have never touched the ground as the bottom of the feet are not even marred and this is only the beginning of its condition. The middle aged couple who now had their dream truck and camper then fully stocked it with all matching dishes, supplies and gear. With laundry detergents being stored, there were no mice ever near the camper and it maintained a clean smell inside. This rig was only used on special occasions and one being their sole purpose of purchasing it, this was to take a dream trip to alaska upon retiring. This they did and following that trip it was hardly ever used again. This truck and camper was maintained like no other and truly never sat outside when not in use. The exterior of the truck is unbelievable, as all of the paint is original and absolutely perfect. It has never been spot painted or touched up at all. It has retained all five of its original good year tires, the rears are the extra wide “super singles” and the rims are original paint as well with their correct hub caps. The exterior of the camper is just as impressive. All of the siding is bright and shiny, the extruded aluminum window frames are bright and not tarnished. All of the lights are crisp and work. The manufacture decals and labels look new, but are originals. The interior of the truck is as expected, like new! The original seat cover does not even show a hint of wear along with everything else. Even the rubber floor mat is perfect and original. Under the rubber mat is gloss paint just like the exterior. The gauges are crisp and all work as expected, including the radio. Inside the glove box is the original owner’s manual, sales brochure and keys. There has never been moisture inside this unit, so all of the roof paneling etc. Is like the day it was originally installed. Inside the cabinets is all of the 1966 dish ware and appropriate camping items needed inside a camper. It is all perfect and in full sets. The toaster, flint liter, coffee percolator, pots and pans etc. Are all there and like new. There is even kleenex boxes and other disposable supplies that are vintage and new in their packages. Not only is the condition amazing, it is also clean as a pin. Inside the stove looks like its never been used. They kept this camper very clean and obviously took a lot of pride in their dream investment. There is not a snag, rip or stain on any of the curtains, seat cushions, or bed mattress/bedding. There is even a 1969 alaska fishing calendar above the door along with a few black and white photos inside the drawers. The mechanical is like everything else, like new and perfect. The water pump, fuel pump and other misc tune-up items have been kept up on and replaced over the years. No real leaks, or odd noises. Its quiet and smooth. The clutch is like butter and the transmission is tight and smooth. This truck drives like a new 66 ford! It’s a 352 fe big block with a 2bbl carb and air conditioning! 4 speed transmission and a 9” big bearing rear differential. The undercarriage is clean and nice. Much of the original red oxide is on the floors and the frame still has its factory black paint. Many original chalk and factory assembly markings are evident. Nothing has been rattle painted, its all original. I acquired this amazing piece of americana less than a year ago and have decided to offer it for sale. Im not selling it cheap to someone who will use it as a hunting rig. Sorry, but this belongs in a museum or a private collection of unique survivors. We have used it very sparingly and so far, everything in the camper is fully functional. The original tail gate is included and is like new! No scratches at all, been stored in the corner for 50 years and never was even used. Also included is all of the original paperwork from the camper. Its about an inch thick with user guides and instructions for use. Its unbelievable and the pictures don’t do it justice. Its amazing in person. I have a clear title in hand and its ready for transfer of ownership. Air Conditioning
